EQUIPMENT OF THE SECOND TURN OF THE SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE COMPLEX OF NORMAL OPERATION SYSTEM OF REACTOR HALL

Equipment of the second turn of the software and hardware complex of normal operation system of reactor hall (NOS RH) and equipment of the first turn of the software and hardware complex of normal operation system of turbine hall (NOS TH) have been put into operation at power unit no. 5 of Zaporizhzhya NPP.

The software and hardware complexes of NOS RH and TH assure (as a part of normal operation systems of reactor and turbine halls of power units of NPPs) performance of functions of technological protections, lockings, warning, regulating and remote control of actuators.

The distinctive features of the software and hardware complexes are:

• high reliability due to redundant structure;
• possibility of by-channel maintenance of the software and hardware complex keeping operability by all functions;
• reduction of equipment quantity, in comparison with the existing control normal operation system based on the control hardware complex, due to transfer to digital data processing and transfer means;
• significant reduction of quantity of equipment performing functions of the lower level of CIS of a power unit, due to realization of functions of primary processing of signals in the software and hardware complex and their transmission to the upper level of CIS;
• reduction of quantity of cable communication due to transfer to digital optical interface resistant to electromagnetic interference.
