ACCEPTANCE TESTING OF THE SUA TPKV SYSTEM TO MONITOR THE EMERGENCY “COOLANT LEAK FROM THE PRIMARY CIRCUIT TO THE SECONDARY ONE WITH THE EQUIVALENT SECTION DY 100” FOR ZNPP-1

In October 2014, the acceptance testing of the SUA TPKV system to monitor the emergency “Coolant leak from the primary circuit to the secondary one with the equivalent section Dy 100” for ZNPP-1 was carried out at the testing ground of PJSC “SRPA “Impulse”.

The representatives of State Nuclear Safety Inspectorate, SS ZNPP and PJSC “SRPA “Impulse” took part in the testing.

SUA TPKV is designated to diagnose leaks from the primary circuit to the secondary one, identify the emergency steam generator and control the leak (together with the channels of the safety control system, the normal operation systems for the reactor and turbine divisions) in the manual or automatic mode according to the control algorithm of the emergency “Coolant leak from the primary circuit to the secondary one with the equivalent section Dy 100” when the given criteria and damage parameters are achived.

The results of the acceptance testing confirmed that SUA TPKV meets the requirements of the requirements specification, the requirements of the normative nuclear and radiation safety documents and is ready to be supplied to ZNPP-1.

SRPA “Impulse” is a leading Ukrainian designer, manufacturer, and supplier of highly-reliable instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power engineering and railways.
